The Club
holds and attends many events throughout the year, from small runs right
up to large Public shows. While these events are primarily a chance for
everyone to view the vehicles, it should be remembered that any profits
realised help raise money for Charity, so you are all more than welcome
to come along!
If you
are a BOVC member and want to enter your vehicle in an event, then pick
your chosen event from the table below and download and print the entry

Herron Run |
10/04/2010 |
We will depart from here at 10.45am when we will take a short
drive towards Ballynure for a call at Woodside’s Haulage for a
viewing of their classic car collection. Much smaller now than
in earlier years but still worth a visit. From here we will make
for the Antrim Coast Road passing through Larne on our way to
Carnfunnock Park. There is plenty to do and see here, see advert
in magazine. After our PICNIC STOP in the park we will take a
leisurely drive along the coast and then into the lovely Antrim
countryside. There may be a brief stop at Slemish, weather and
time permitting and then on via Broughshane to Ballymena and the
Tullyglass House Hotel for a full carvery meal. |

Banbridge Old Vehicle
Club are organising a display of classic cars at the Marks &
Spencer car park, Sprucefield Shopping Centre, Lisburn on Sunday
25th April 2010.
This event is part of
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs drive it day,
on which they urge anyone who has a classic car to take it for a
drive on that day. |

May Day Run |

At 11.00am we will leave the car park and make our way through
the town in a cavalcade as part of Dromore Civic Week
activities. We will then drive via Ballynahinch, Crossgar and
Killyleagh to Delamont Park for a picnic stop. DON’T FORGET YOUR
PICNIC. We will leave Delamont Park for a leisurely drive along
Strangford Lough and the Co Down coast passing through
Strangford, Coney Island, Ballyhornan, Ardglass, Killough,
Minerstown, and Tyrella and arrive at Seaford for a tour of the
Butterfly Farm. On leaving the Butterfly Farm we will have a 15
min drive to the Spa Golf Club for a meal. |

May Club Night |

Arrangements have been
made for our May Meeting to take the form of a visit to the
recently refurbished Belfast City Hall on Tuesday25th May 2010
at 6.45pm for 7pm tour. Our visit is kindly being hosted by the
Lord Mayor, Naomi Long and a conducted tour has been arranged.

Banbridge Cavalcade |

A PARADE OF OLD VEHICLES will take place from the car park of
THE OUTLET, just off the A1 along a route around the old
Banbridge 100 course into the town centre before finishing at
Banbridge Rugby Club All types of “old” vehicles are welcome
including motorcycles, commercials, tractors and cars etc |

Bronte Run |

The run will take us through the countryside to arrive at The
Somme Heritage Centre, Conlig at around 1pm where we will have
our PICNIC LUNCH before having a conducted tour of the centre.
There will be at least two tour groups. Following this stop we
will continue our journey through the County Down countryside to
arrive for our evening meal in Donaghadee at 5pm. |
